Worker Hurt In Fall At MA Amazon Warehouse Site

KINGSTON, MA — A worker was seriously injured Saturday morning after falling off the roof of an Amazon building in Kingston, according to authorities.

The man was working at a construction site at the Kingston distribution center Saturday morning and fell about 30 feet, Kingston Fire and Emergency Management said in a social media post.

The worker was flown by a Boston MedFlight helicopter to a hospital in Boston for treatment.

Amazon operates hundreds of distribution facilities across the nation, including a handful in Massachusetts in Milford, Dedham, Fall River and Revere. The company is expanding its footprint in the Bay State, with new warehouses coming to Worcester, Northborough, Canton and Salem.

The planned Kingston warehouse is about 145,000 square-feet, and is located near exit 17 along Route 3.
