Boston Bank Robber Caught; 3 Officers Hurt: PD

ROSLINDALE, MA — A 60-year-old man has been arrested, and three Boston police officers are nursing injuries after a report of a bank robbery at a bank along the American Legion Highway lead to a struggle, Monday.

Just after 10 a.m. police were called to the TD Bank at 930 American Legion Highway for a report of a man attempting to rob the place. When officers arrived, they saw a man, believed to have been the one who had just robbed the bank, walking to his car.

Police went to arrest him, and a brief struggle ensued, according to the department. Three officers sustained minor injuries and were taken to the hospital for evaluation.

Donald Martin, 60, of Boston was arrested and is set to appear in West Roxbury District Court on charges of unarmed robbery (bank) and larceny over $250.
