Fundraiser: Help Rebuild Charles Sumner Elementary Playground

The playground was destroyed Monday evening in a fire that was later determined to be arson.

ROSLINDALE, MA - The Charles Sumner Elementary community is coming together in order to raise money to rebuild the school's playground.

The playground was destroyed in a fire Monday, which Boston firefighters later stated they were investigating as an arson.

Now, the staff, parent council and Friends of the Charles Sumner Elementary School have established a fundraiser to rebuild the equipment, establish additional security on the premises, fund field trips so the children can play while the playground is being rebuilt and improve the gymnasium and indoor space to accommodate the kids while they do not have access to equipment.
