Roslindale Fire: 3-Alarm Blaze Displaces 21, Causes $500K In Damage
Firefighters battled a blaze at two triple deckers Wednesday evening.

ROSLINDALE, MA – A three-alarm fire in Roslindale Wednesday evening displaced 21 and resulted in an estimated $500,000 in damages, according to the Boston Globe. The blaze began around 6:50 p.m. on the rear porches of 3940 Washington Street and spread to 3944 Washington Street, the Boston Fire Department said.
Flames also touched a third building but did not cause any damage. The bulk of the blaze was knocked down less than an hour after it was first reported.
Fire officials told the Globe that 16 adults and five children were displaced as a result of the fire. No injuries were reported.
