Roslindale Woman Arrested, Accused Of Arson

The 22 year old is accused of setting six fires at her college over the past few months.

ROSLINDALE, MA — After several reported fires plagued a Wheaton College dorm, police arrested a Roslindale woman last week in connection with arson. She was in court Monday and will face a dangerousness hearing Friday in Attleboro.

Just before 4 a.m. Feb. 7, a dorm alarm went off and students evacuated. Officials found a fire appeared to have started in an old water fountain on the third floor.

This was the sixth fire in McIntyre Hall since last November, according to police.

During a Norton Police investigation that involved a surveillance camera, police called in an RA in the dorm as a suspect and interviewed her.

Police say Pimentel confessed to starting the fires after being confronted with a photo that they said showed her igniting the fire in the early morning hours last Thursday.
