2017 Boston Pride Guide Now Available at 100+ Stop & Shop Stores

(Boston, MA) – May 22, 2017 – Boston Pride announced today that the 2017 Pride Guide will be available at more than 100 Stop & Shop stores throughout Massachusetts. The complimentary Pride Guide contains information on this year’s Pride Week (June 2nd-11th), including a calendar of events, and stories by members of the queer community that focus on LGBTQ issues and perspectives. Stop & Shop is a partner of the 2017 Boston Gay Pride Parade & Festival. The production of the Pride Guide is a volunteer effort led by Editor-in-Chief and Boston Pride member Michael Anthony Fowler. The theme of this year’s Pride Week is “Stronger Together.”

“The 2017 Pride Guide is truly reflective of our theme, ‘Stronger Together,’ as we assembled a dedicated and diverse group of collaborators to produce a publication that is informative, relevant and inspiring to the LGBTQ community and allies,” said Fowler. “With the increased distribution through Stop & Shop, the Pride Guide will be available to more people in all parts of the Commonwealth, including places where access to information on LGBTQ issues may be limited.”

Boston Pride Week 2017 will kick-off with the Pride flag raising on City Hall Plaza on Friday, June 2 and continue with events throughout the week, culminating in the annual Boston Pride Parade and Festival on Saturday, June 10 and the Pride Block Parties on Sunday, June 11 in Back Bay and Jamaica Plain.
