2ovens In Shrewsbury Also Closing Because Of Bertucci's Chap. 11
The concept restaurant in White City in Shrewsbury is also closing. 2ovens is owned by Bertucci's, which is closing 55 restaurants.

SHREWSBURY, MA—Bertucci's, the Massachusetts-based Italian restaurant chain, filed for bankruptcy, the company announced Monday. As part of the move, the company closed 15 restaurants, including one in Boston and another in Taunton. Fifty-nine restaurants in 10 states and Washington D.C. will remain open, according to Bertucci's CEO Brian Wright.
Wright claimed the bankruptcy filing will position the struggling chain for "significant future growth."
"We are grateful for the service and loyalty of our team members and are looking forward to focusing on a return to Bertucci's roots: authentic, high quality, fresh ingredients that guests and team members alike crave and care about," Wright said in a statement.The company plans to sell its assets to Illinois-based Right Lane Dough Acquisitions for about $20 million, according to the Associated Press.

The concept restaurant 2ovens, which is under the Bertucci's umbrella, has also closed in Shrewsbury,according to the Worcester Business Journal. 2ovens opened in 2012 as Bertucci's first concept location, at Shrewsbury's White City Shopping Center.
