39 Percent Of Shrewsbury Has Received At Least One Vaccine Dose

More than 70 percent of Shrewsbury residents over age 75 have received both doses, according to the state's data.

SHREWSBURY, MA — More than 2,000 of Shrewsbury's oldest residents have received both doses of the COVID-19 vaccine, according to the state’s data. Twenty-one percent of Shrewsbury residents as a whole are fully vaccinated, up from 19 percent last week.

Roughly 17 percent of the town's residents have received just the first dose. Nearly 60 percent residents ages 65 to 74 are fully vaccinated, and 28 percent in that age group have received just their first dose.

Shrewsbury reported 101 cases of coronavirus in the two weeks leading up to the state report released Thursday, placing it in the "yellow" zone.
