5 Places to Visit During February Vacation

It's February vacation and that means the kids are home and looking for fun during their week off.

Here are some local attractions for you and your kids to enjoy:

• The Ecotarium: Just over the border into Worcester, the Ecotarium offers hands-on activities for kids as well as a planetarium and sparked up activities during the week.
• Keep up reading by stopping by the Shrewsbury Public Library and enjoy the new preschool computers and variety of books for kids of all ages. There is also a preschool story time scheduled for Thursday at 10:30 a.m. and children can read to dogs on Saturday at 10 a.m.
• Within 30 minutes is the Acton Discovery Museums which offers hands-on activities for toddlers, preschools and school-age children. There are activities scheduled throughout the week.
• Ski Ward offers ski and snowboard lessons throughout the week as well as snowtubing and rentals during February vacation week. If you've been waiting to hit the slopes, now is the time.
• Shrewsbury Health & Racquet Club offers February vacation week camps and activities. It has a kids zone and pool, which is great for kids of all ages.
