It's that time of year and like everyone else, Shrewsbury has a Christmas wish list.
Here's what the town wants under the tree:
1. A new that fits the needs of the town and the town's budget.

2. Free trash—though the pay as you throw program has been successful in having more people recycle, a free curbside trash program would be awesome or at least more options for recycling. A new Recycling Committee is being formed to look into the problem.
3. New technology options at the schools. Though there is a pilot program at some schools this year, embracing and giving students the opportunity to learn with the new technology will only expand their experiences and improve our MCAS scores.

4. More businesses to come to Shrewsbury to fill empty businesses like the former Price Chopper and Borders location. It will help keep our taxes low and bring more revenue to the town.
5. A new Paton playground for the kids at . Their playground was demolished last spring and the school is close to their goal—about 10,000 away. They hope to break ground this spring.
