5 Things You Need to Know Today: Jan. 13

Our weekday morning column, 5 Things You Need to Know, provides you with information that can help you plan your day and give you some fodder for water cooler conversations.

2. Be careful out there today because it's Friday the 13th. It was just a full moon on Jan. 9, so hopefully it won't be too spooky. One way to enjoy the day is to take out a scary movie from the Shrewsbury Public Library; maybe you'll even nab a copy of Friday the 13th.  

3. Looking for a fun family event? Check out the , at the library at 6:30 p.m.

4. Live Christmas trees are still being picked up curbside. Have them out with your regular trash by 7 a.m.
