1. Hazardous waste crews responded to TangenX, a business at 910 Boston Tpke. for a yellow gas spill. The Shrewsbury Fire Department assisted in the investigation, along with the state Department of Environmental Protection. The company was evacuated during the investigation.

5. Torrential downpours swept through town yesterday and the rain is expected to continue today. Bring an umbrella and don't be like me - wear closed shoes. Again, I wore flip flops because it's summer. The forecast is on our homepage 24 hours a day/seven days a week.
