64-year-old Woman Dies in Overnight Blaze
The woman lived in a duplex on South Quinsigamond Avenue.

Paula Shumway, 64, of 357 South Quinsigamond Ave., Shrewsbury, was found dead in her bathroom after a two-alarm fire was reported at her home, according to Tim Connolly from the Worcester District Attorney Joseph Early's Office.
At 8:05 p.m., the and Police departments responded to the scene and found , according to Fire Chief James Vuona.
The south end of South Quinsigamond Avenue was closed near Route 20 while firefighters, the state police and the state fire marshal's office investgated the scene. Traffic was rerouted.

A couple that lives on the right side of the duplex was displaced by the fire and the American Red Cross helped them find temporary housing for the night.
Chief Vuona said they also found a dog leash, but no dog in the home last night.
