Learn Thoreau’s Transcendentalism in the light of modern Physics and Eastern
thought from certified TM instructor Dale Friedgen.

Thoreau, Son of Concord
  • Tues, June 13, 7pm.
Robert Gross’s thoughts on Thoreau have been published in various forms for the
last 30 years. He will discuss Walden and Thoreau’s coming of age in Concord.

Meet Henry David Thoreau! Not to be missed!
Historian Richard Smith, who’s realistically performed as Thoreau for nearly 20 years, will read an essay and host a lively discussion, taking questions from the audience about Thoreau. Learn Thoreau’s Transcendentalism in the light of modern Physics and Eastern thought from certified TM instructor Dale Friedgen.

Music inspired by Thoreau (A drop-in event)

  • Wed, June 28, 6:30– 8pm
Andrew Celentano, who plays regularly at the BSO Café at
Symphony Hall will be here playing compositions inspired by Thoreau, along with
some pieces by Debussy and Ravel.
