Coliform Found in Hillside Drive Water Tank
The Shrewsbury Water Department has taken the tank offline.
On Friday the Shrewsbury Water Department announced that they had taken the Hillside Drive water tank offline after bacteria was found in the tank.
According to a release on the Town of Shrewsbury website, background coliform was found during routine testing.
Chlorine use in the entire system has been increased as a precaution and the website says residents may notice an increased chlorine taste.
