Comic Store That’s Entertainment of Worcester and Fitchburg Will Participate in MASSive Comic Con

MASSive Comic Con announced today that comic store That’s Entertainment will be participating as a vendor in the show on June 24th and 25th at the DCU Center in Worcester. That’s Entertainment, with stores in Worcester and Fitchburg, will be offering comics, video games, table games, toys, vintage record albums and other collectors’ items.

“We are looking forward to having That’s Entertainment participate in this year’s MASSive Comic Con,” said Chris Proulx, MASSive Comic Con cofounder. “That’s Entertainment is just the type of high quality comic store that has a great customer base and special items that our fans want. They will be a great addition to our show.”

Since 1980, That’s Entertainment has been selling pop culture items including comics, graphic novels, toys, records, movies, games and more. Recently, MASSive Comic Con co-founder Chris Proulx visited the Fitchburg store and met with That’s Entertainment’s Matt Tozer.

Back issue purchaser Matt Tozer says, "Having a comic con here in Worcester will draw people into comics and pop culture collecting. We've been the area's hub of nerd culture for over 35 years. MASSive Con introduces That's Entertainment to new customers and young fans. We're right around the corner, and we're like a comic con all year long!"

That’s Entertainment has two stores in Massachusetts, located at 244 Park Avenue in Worcester, and 56 John Fitch Highway in Fitchburg.

MASSive Comic Con will feature celebrity guests including Pirates of the Caribbean stars Kevin McNally and Martin Klebba, Diamond Dallas Page, recently inducted into the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) Hall of Fame and three-time world champion professional wrestler; another WWE Hall of Famer Booker T. Huffman Jr., better known by his ring name Booker T; and actor and musician Chester Rushing, best known for his role of Tommy H. on Netflix’s critically acclaimed series, “Stranger Things.”

The show will also feature movie car appearances by the Massachusetts Ghost Busters, Hero Army cosplayers and the 501st New England (Star Wars characters), exclusive panels, table top gaming, video game tournaments, light saber training classes and a Pirate Scavenger Hunt that enters participants into a raffle to win a treasure chest with great prizes. For attendees who want to continue socializing, there are several after-hours events including an after-party at the DCU Center on Saturday evening from 9:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m., hosted by the New England Brethren of Pirates and “Drink and Draw” featuring many of the show’s comic creators.

MASSive Comic Con Hours:

Saturday, June 24 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Sunday, June 25 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
