Cultural Council Awards Local Grants
Local schools, the library and the senior center were all among funding recipients.

The has announced the award of 18 grants totaling $6,067 to help support cultural programs offered locally during the upcoming year.
Grant recipients include:
- Tower Hill Botanic Garden
- Centre Stage Productions
- Worcester Chamber Music Society
- Regatta Players
- Massachusetts Educational Theater Guild
- Assabet Valley Mastersingers
- Arts on the Green
Several recipients received more than one grant.

Massachusetts has 329 local councils serving 351 cities and towns. The councils are funded by the state through the Massachusetts Cultural Council. Annually more than $2 million in grants is awarded to more than 5,000 programs. These include school programs, lectures, theater, dance, music, visual arts, etc. Individuals, schools, and cultural organizations are eligible to apply for project support.
