Two field hockey players traveled to Phoenix, AZ to compete in the largest field hockey tournament in the world.
Teams from all over the country and world come together to play in Phoenix over Thanksgiving break at the National Field Hockey Festival.
This year the U16 won gold. Alanna Maniatis was the leading scorer and Elizabeth Goss was one of the goalies. They finished undefeated and scored 11 goals and only allowed three goals in six games.

The U19 team including Shrewsbury player Meg McKinley won the gold last year. Meg scored on a stroke to win the gold medal.
