Hazmat Crews Respond to TangenX
The fire department responded to a Tier 1 hazardous materials spill at TangenX.
At about 10:30 a.m., the Shrewsbury Fire Department responded to TangenX, a business at 910 Boston Tpke. for a hazardous materials spill.
It is located between South Street and Route 20 on Route 9. The access road leading to the businesses is open while the investigation continues.
"Tier 1 is the least dangerous spill," said Shrewsbury Fire Chief James Vuona. "The DEP responded as well."

A UMass ambulance was on standby as firefighters suited up to investigate the spill.
