The following health inspection reports were submitted by Board of Health inspectors.

308 Hartford Trnpk. Routine inspection date: April 16. Large build up in ice machine, needs to be wiped down. Spigot area of coffee machine looks good. Interior of milk cleaner needs to be wiped down. Hood vents need to be clean, build-up of dust and debris. Floors need to be swept and mopped under all equipment. All items need to be labeled in the small cooler. Vent needs to be cleaned on small fridge.
The Bean Counter, 288 Boston Trnpk. Routine inspection date Nov. 23, 2012. Dining area is unremarkably clean. Customer service area is very clean and organized. Restrooms are OK. Reach-in coolers are all properly dated, labeled and at proper temperatures. Thermometer needed in one and another needs some cleaning. Good job on using gloves when preparing food. Hats and hairnets need to be worn while preparing food. Floor of walk-in freezer needs to be cleaned. Lights and ceiling in dry storage area look good. Slide coolers with deserts are very clean. Ice machine has proper cleaning schedule posted but is overdue. Overall appearance is nice and clean. Employees need to be serve safe and allergen awareness certified.
Panera Bread 50 Boston Trnpk. Routine inspection date Oct. 15, 2012. Mops need to be hung up to dry properly and not stored in bucket. Walk-in freezer is very organized. Ice machine needs to be cleaned and sanitized ASAP. Sanitizer mix is too strong. Floors need to be cleaned wall-to-wall to prevent food buildup. Equipment needs to be cleaned before being put away. Dishwasher does not get warm enough. Back area needs to be cleaned and dusted. Lids left open on some containers in food line and salad unit. Microwave needs to be cleaned and sanitized before using. Soda machine is good and clean. Employees must was hands signs needed in restrooms.

70 Boston Turnpike. Routine inspection date Jan. 23. Walk-in freezer is very clean. Food must not be stored on the floor of walk-in cooler. Ice machine is very clean. All food in back room is labeled. Ceiling above dish machine needs repair. Floors need to be cleaned under shelving. Floors under equipment must be repaired so food does not get stuck in crevices. Hose on cleaning sing needs to be repaired to prevent leaks. Tiles must be secured under hand sink. Kitchen area needs light dusting. Outside cooler and dumpster area are immaculate. Upstairs food storage is very organized. Milk cooler was left open prior to inspection. More attention to detail needed when cleaning coffee spigots. Make sure soda nozzles are cleaned and sanitized each night. Choke safe certification needed.
Black Diamond Coffee, 307 Grafton St. Routine inspection date March 20. Store is very neat and clean. Great job dating and labeling items in cooler. Ceiling is in need of cleaning and dusting. Microwave is clean. Staff is using proper food protection. Bathrooms are clean and well-labeled. Broken light over counter must be repaired.

Dinky’s Blue Bell Diner, 70 Clinton St. Routine inspection date Feb. 21. Outside dumpster area is covered and very clean. Great job cleaning and labeling bathrooms. All food in reach-in freezer and cooler must be labeled and properly covered. Floors must be cleaned wall-to-wall. Hoods and ovens are overdue for a professional cleaning. Excellent job with food protection by chefs. Clean dishes are stored too close to the floors. Bottom of small cooler needs better method to catch spills. Front counter must be wiped down better to prevent dust build-up. Glasses and storage shelf need to be cleaned and sanitized. Floors and ceilings need a good cleaning. Wine glasses are not being stored properly. Ice machine needs to be serviced immediately. Food has been spilled in ice machine; rust and mold are building up. Machine needs to be re-inspected before next use. Make sure soda nozzles are cleaned and sanitized nightly. Temperature and sanitizer logs need to be kept better.Â
