Health Inspections: Weepin' Willies, Uptowne Deli, Shelly's Cafe and Deli, Napoli Deli

The following health inspection reports were submitted by Board of Health inspectors.

Weepin’ Willies, 160 Boston Trnpk. Routine inspection date April 16.  Eggs in the walk-in cooler should be stored on bottom shelf, not above prepared foods. All food must be stored 6 inches off the floor. Fans and ceilings need to be cleaned. Non-food items should be stored separately from food items. Door does not close properly causing potential loss of temperature control.  Coffee machine and grinder need to be cleaned. All food must that is past its use by date must be thrown out. All restrooms used by employees must have covered trash cans. Slicer must be cleaned to prevent buildup of debris. Countertop under warmers must be cleaned. Paper with meat and blood must be disposed of. Handwash sink cannot be used for bread storage. Ceiling tiles must be repaired or replaced. Store is very neat, a little attention to detail is need in cooler and behind counter.

Uptowne Deli, 1000 Boston Trnpk. Re-inspection date Feb. 15. Violations have all be corrected. Ice machine is clean and the hose was replaced.

Shelly’s Café and Deli, 274 South St. Routine inspection date April 16. Slider needs to be cleaned, there is food buildup under blade sharpener. Both microwaves need to be cleaned. Coffee maker needs to be cleaned daily. Vent cover in back room needs to be repaired.

Napoli Deli, 79 South Quinsigamond Ave. Re-inspection on April 29. Ice machine is clean. All critical violations that were noted on April 22 have been rectified.
