In front of the library, town officials and residents gathered to honor all those who have served in wars.
Boy Scout Troop 4 and Cub Scout Troop 138 led the veterans to assemble in front of the where Shrewsbury's Veteran's Memorial stands.
The ceremony included a reading of the veterans lost in the previous year and a laying of the wreath by American Legion Post 397 Commander Ron Pelletier.
