In Court: Woman Bites Police Officer
After being stopped at St. Anne's Pantry, a Worcester woman is facing charges after allegedly assaulted a police officer.

Earlier this month, a Worcester woman was stopped when leaving by apparently because she had not paid for a purse.
The police officer responded and reported the purse was still in some sort of store packaging, according to the police report.
The officer said the woman was uncooperative and when she attempted to remove the woman, the woman became combative and attempted to hit the officer with the purse.

When other police arrived, they found a bite mark on the police officer's arm, which needed stitches. The woman apparently was still combative and both the officers and the woman fell down the stairs at the pantry.
Michella Fouchard, 31, of 18 Castle St., Worcester, was arrested May 2 by Shrewsbury police and charged with assault and battery on a police officer, disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, disturbing the peace and larceny under $250. Judge Thomas continued the case to July 26.
