'From Ireland to America': Traditional Music Show at the Library

From Ireland to America celebrates Irish musical traditions performed on a variety of traditional instruments including the guitar, banjo, Irish Bouzouki, Irish drum, (Bodhran), mandolin, pennywhistle, spoons and harmonica.
The popular St. Patrick’s Day program returns to the Senior Center in Shrewsbury on Sunday, March 15, from 2-3 p.m.

The program includes a variety of traditional Irish and Irish-American folk songs and tunes. Ballads, work songs and traditional Celtic sing-alongs are interspersed with jigs and reels, and the audience is encouraged to sing, clap, and dance.
There’s also an Irish step dancing lesson included in the festivities.
