Judges Rule on Shrewsbury Cases

Monday March 19:

Luis F. Diaz, 25, of 200 East Mountain Village #266, Worcester, was summonsed to court on a complaint March 18 by Shrewsbury police and charged with receiving a stolen motor vehicle. Judge Virzi continued the case to April 11.

Joan Reyes, 40, of 5 Ashton St. Apt. 1, Worcester, was summonsed to court on a complaint March 18 by Shrewsbury police and charged with receiving a stolen motor vehicle. Judge Virzi continued the case to April 11.

Alicia F. Lamarre, 23, of 279 Grafton St. Apt. 3, Worcester, was summonsed to court on a complaint March 17 by Shrewsbury police and charged with possession of a class A drug. Judge Virzi continued the case to April 9.

Anthony J. Perry, 53, of 69 Grove St., Shrewsbury, was summonsed to court on a complaint March 17 by Shrewsbury police and charged with possession of a class A drug. Judge Virzi continued the case to April 9.

Gurdev Singh, 51, of 7 Baldwin Circle, Shrewsbury, was summonsed to court on a complaint March 18 by Shrewsbury police and charged with assault and battery and violating an abuse prevention order. Judge Virzi continued the case to March 30.

Anthony R. Jones, 28, of 14539 Lamom Apt. 2 S, Midlothian, IL, was summonsed to court on a complaint March 17 by Shrewsbury police and charged with four counts of uttering a false prescription and forgery of a document. Judge Virzi continued the case to April 12. He was charged after calling the CVS in Shrewsbury, claiming to be a Dr. Fortson of Indiana and using the doctor’s DEA identification number, according to court documents. He picked up four prescriptions at the CVS, court documents said. When police contacted the real Dr. Fortson, he said that Jones had called in multiple scripts in his name at pharmacies up and down the East Coast, court documents said.

Wednesday March 21:

John W. Baker, 30, of 28 Russell St. Apt. 11, Worcester, was arrested May 6 by Shrewsbury police and charged with distribution of a class D drug, conspiracy to violate drug laws, unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, having no inspection sticker and failure to wear a seat belt. Judge Calagione found sufficient facts on the first two charges, continued the case without a finding to March 19, 2013, placed him on one-year supervised probation, ordered him to remain drug-free and subject to random urinalysis and fined him $50 and a $65 monthly probation fee. The third charge was dismissed. He was found not responsible on the final two charges.

Melvin Aguirre, 45, of 59 Spring St., Shrewsbury, was arrested March 17 by Shrewsbury police and charged with operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and operating with a suspended registration. Judge Calagione dismissed all charges, the first two upon payment of $200 in court costs.

Andrea E. Lavigne, 33, of 11 Franklin St. Apt. 24, West Boylston, was arrested March 20 by Shrewsbury police and charged with shoplifting and four counts of possession of a class E substance. Judge Calagione continued the case to May 3.

Joshua L. Smith, 30, of 7 Samoset, Worcester, was arrested March 7 by Shrewsbury police and charged with operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license. Judge Calagione dismissed the charge.

Thursday, March 22:

Jarrod A. Lamore, 20, of 4 Echo St., Worcester, was summonsed to court on a complaint Nov. 19 by Shrewsbury police and charged with possession of a class B drug. Judge Vito Virzi continued the case to May 7.

Joyce Paroline, 59, of 18 Pal Drive, Shrewsbury, was summonsed to court on a complaint March 21 by Shrewsbury police and charged with OUI liquor. Judge Vito Virzi continued the case to May 11.

Victoria C. Lane, 50, of 15 Dudley Rd., Oxford, was summonsed to court on a complaint March 12 by Shrewsbury police and charged with OUI liquor, leaving the scene of a property damage accident and marked lanes violation. Judge Vito Virzi found her guilty of the first charge. She was placed on supervised probation until March 21, 2013, ordered to lose her license for 45 days, fined $600 and ordered to pay a $65 monthly probation fee. The judge found sufficient facts on the second charge and placed her on probation to March 21, 2013. She was found responsible on the third charge, the charges were filed.
