I am a small business owner and a former teacher in Shrewsbury. It has long been held that In order to have a thriving democracy, we must have an educated, majority. Shrewsbury has always been known for its excellent school system.

But currently we have a dual problem: a growing population and a school that is over 100 years of age. The Beal school is in need of substantial repairs. However, it still would be too small to meet the needs of the number of children in Shrewsbury and there is no funding to aid in renovations. The State is willing to pay a substantial portion to build a new school building. It would be an opportunity to help our community for the next 100 years! Vote yes on the new Beal School on November 6th!
