Letter: Rotary Club Says Chocolate Event Successful

Death by Chocolate event helps the Paton School playground reach their goal.

The Rotary Club of Shrewsbury would like to extend our appreciation to all who helped make the First Annual Death by Chocolate a huge success! We were pleased to present the with a check for $7,000 representing 50 percent of the proceeds. Remaining proceeds will help fund Rotary community service programs such as 2nd Grade Literacy Day, milk program, college scholarships, Senior community dinners and (SYFS).

This event would not have been possible without the generosity of our Chocolate Participants: , CC Cookies, Chartwells at WPI, CocoBeni Confections, Crio Bru, Darby's Bakery, , Katelyn Rooney, Norman Brown, , Shrewsbury Girl Scouts, Something Sweet by Michelle, Struck Catering, The Classy Cupcake, Wegmans Food Markets, and Wicked Good Cookies.

We are grateful for the support of our Major Sponsor $1,500 and our $1,000 sponsors Glavin Residents, Unibank and Wheelabrator Shrewsbury. Thank you also to the many other organizations and individuals who contributed sponsorships, items for the prize drawing items and our guests who came out to support the event.
