Lt. Gov. Tim Murray speaks about the fight to end hunger.
During the 11th Annual Partner Agency Conference, Lt. Gov. Tim Murray spoke about the collaboration between local and state agencies to help end hunger throughout the state.
Murray said it is important for the agencies to work together and collaborate with local farmers to continue to feed people locally.
"Worcester County has the most farms in the state," he said. Through the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), healthier food options are accessible to those in need.

"The SNAP program continues to grow and it has been a huge success across the state," Murray said.
Local officials from food pantries came from around the state to attend the conference held at the UMass Hoagland-Pincus Conference Center on Maple Avenue and sponsored by the .
