Man Charged With Assault With a Dangerous Weapon

The following information was provided by the Shrewsbury Police Department. Charges do not indicate a conviction.

Tuesday, June 11

7:22 a.m.: A 911 caller reported a two-car crash on Boston Turnpike. One person was hospitalized and one vehicle was towed.

9:35 a.m.: An officer reported trash bags in several spots on Maple Avenue.

5:09 p.m.: An officer stopped a vehicle on Boston Turnpike. Police are seeking a summons for the driver.

8:59 p.m.: A caller from South Quinsigamond requested an officer to check her house. The caller said she believed someone broke-in while she was out. The officer determined no break-in had occurred.

10:01 p.m.: A caller from Boylston Street reported a domestic incident. Officers responded and arrested Marcelle Gibbons, 33, of 140 Boylston Street on charges of assault and battery and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.

Wednesday, June 12

3:09 a.m.: A caller reported that someone was stealing her outside light bulbs.

6:55 a.m.: A caller from Sheehan Driver reported that someone broke in to their garage overnight and vandalized their car. An officer responded and noted that no break-in occurred.
