Man In Dumpster Investigated, Disturbing the Peace Arrest

The following information was provided by the Shrewsbury Police Department. Charges do not indicate a conviction.

Saturday, June 15

8:20 a.m.: An employee at Commerce Bank requested a walk through of the business with a police officer because an alarm was sounding.

2:30 p.m.: A caller from Redland Street reported that a black SUV pulled in to their driveway then a person got out of the vehicle and stole their bike.

10:07 p.m.: Officers responded to a one-car crash on Maple Avenue. The vehicle was towed.

12:22 a.m.: Officers investigated a residential break-in on Tanager Drive.

2:35 a.m.: An officer investigated a suspicious person on Sherwood Avenue. Brandon Hokanson, 20, of 196 Main St., was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.

9:48 a.m.: A caller from Flynn’s Truck Stop reported a male on a bicycle attempting to steal items. The items were recovered before the man left, but officers were unable to track the man down.

12:20 p.m.: A caller reported a car vs. shopping cart crash at White City Shopping Center. Words were exchanged before the suspect left the scene.

6:24 p.m.: An officer placed safety buoys on Lake Quinsigamond near Coast Guard Island.

6:56 p.m.: A caller reported that a boat washed up on their property on Lake Quinsigamond.

8:37 p.m.: A 911 caller reported a suspicious male in a dumpster on Boston Turnpike.
