MathAltitude School of Mathematics is very pleased to announce that the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE-USA) Board of Directors has selected Olga Serebrennikov a 2016 recipient of the IEEE-USA K-12 STEM Literacy Educator-Engineer Partnership Award. IEEE-USA honored Olga and Desiree Awiszio, our partner from the industry and IEEE Senior member, “for collaboration supporting the development of K-12 student math skills and their application in engineering.” To quote Helen Horowitz in an article that was published in Insight IEEE USA -Distinctive Partnership Offers New Paradigm for Math Education, “Their partnership offers a new paradigm for how engineers and math educators can work together – not only to help combat innumeracy among pre-college students – but also to inspire enthusiasm and self-confidence.”
