Playground Program Registration Open at Shrewsbury Parks

Looking for a summer program for your kids?

SHREWSBURY, MA—Registration is open for the summer programs offered by Shrewsbury Parks and Recreation.

New this year is a Kindergarten half day at Oak Middle School. Also, full day and half day programs are available for kids entering 1-7th grade at Oak Middle School.

Shrewsbury Rec. offers a variety of fun-filled activities that include daily arts & crafts projects based on a weekly theme. Children also participate in inclusive games, which include various sports and age appropriate activities, said the announcement. Children in the full program swim at Sunset Beach in the afternoon. They should pack a lunch, towel, bathing suit and sunscreen.

Staff directors are CPR/First Aid & Epi-pen trained. All participants receive a parks and recreation playground t-shirt.

Playground offerings are for seven weeks in the summer from June 25 to Aug. 9, Monday thru Thursdays. Additional field trips may be added on Fridays throughout the summer for those participating in the "Playground" program.
