Police Log: Cat Brings Home Bat, Owner Stores it in Cooler

Tuesday, June 19:

8:29 a.m.: A person in the lobby turned in a found wallet from a catch basin in town.

10:28 a.m.: A caller reported a budget rental truck parked the long way on Boston Turnpike with no one around.

11:59 a.m.: A medical call was reported on Hillando Drive for a woman with severe abdominal pain. She was taken to UMass.

1:02 p.m.: A medical call was reported on Whippoorwill Drive for a man with a head laceration from a fall. He was taken to UMass.

2:45 p.m.: A caller found a wallet on Maple Avenue.

4:03 p.m.: A caller reported he misplaced his license at Williamsburg Court.

4:35 p.m.: A medical call was reported on Main Street for a woman with injuries from a fall.

5:13 p.m.: A caller reported a three-car crash at Thestland Drive and Main Street. One woman was taken to UMass. A report was taken.

5:22 p.m.: A domestic dispute was reported.

7:43 p.m.: A medical call was reported on Commons Drive for a man witha  foot stuck in a bike. EMS was backed off. No injuries were reported.

7:48 p.m.: A medical call was reported on Carlton Street for a man with difficulty breathing. He was taken to UMass.

7:52 p.m.: A caller reported two men were in her yard three hours ago on Red Coat Road.

9:06 p.m.: An anonymous caller reported fireworks on Bailey Road.

9:09 p.m.: A caller reported a suspicious car was reported on Boston Turnpike.

9:26 p.m.: Shrewsbury police responded to Boston Turnpike after a suspicious car was reported. The driver left and was stopped near the Northborough line. James O'Loughlin, 30, of 525 Water St., Apt. 6, Clinton, was arrested and charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct, disturbing the peace, a marked lanes violation, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, failure to stop for police and a motor vehicle lights violation.

10:35 p.m.: A caller requested an officer to remove three to four youths out in front of a store on Maple Avenue. responded and removed the youths.

Wednesday, June 20:

1:25 a.m.: A caller reported four or five youths being loud in the parking lot on Boston Turnpike. Police responded and the youths were gone.

1:37 a.m.: A suspicious man and woman were reported on Boston Turnpike.

5:14 a.m.: A caller reported a neighbor's car horn woke her up earlier in the morning on Straw Hollow Lane.

5:51 a.m.: A caller reported his cat brought home a bat on Bay View Drive.The caller put the bat in a cooler until can pick it up. The officer was notified.
