Police Log: Fire Reported at Econo Lodge

Wednesday, June 13:

7:57 a.m.: A caller reported buses speeding daily on Cherry Street in the morning.

10:32 a.m.: A suspicious truck was reported on Ronald Lane.

11:38 a.m.: A caller reported a bookcase fell out of a pickup truck on Boston Turnpike.

12:05 p.m.: A suspicious car was reported on Worthington Avenue.

12:15 p.m.: A suspicious car was reported on Wheeler Avenue.

2:39 p.m.: Gregory Scott Simpson, 27, of 37 Ledge Ave., Spencer, was arrested. Charges were not listed by police.

3:49 p.m.: A larceny was reported on Maple Avenue. A report was taken.

4:03 p.m.: A suspicious woman was reported on Paton Road.

5:21 p.m.: Nicole Bartorillo, 25, of 10 King Rd., North Brookfield, was arrested and charged with possession of a Class A substance.

5:27 p.m.: A caller reported that his ex spouse continues to call him on Oak Street.

7:32 p.m.: A caller reported a large group of men having a fire on Boston Turnpike. Police advised men were cooking on a grill and staying at the Econo Lodge.

8:09 p.m.: Two suspicious men were reported on Boston Turnpike pulling electrical wires.

8:29 p.m.: A medical call was reported on Orchard Meadow Drive for a woman vomiting, dizzy and possibly dehydrated. They were taken to UMass.

10:52 p.m.: Nicholas John Simon, 26, of 76 Loxwood St., Worcester, was arrested and charged with a marked lanes violation, OUI liquor and a motor vehicle lights violation.

Thursday, June 14:

12:09 p.m.: A caller reported four men hiding in the bushes on Williamsburg Court. Police advised the youths live there and there were no problems.

12:11 a.m.: A caller reported his home was egged on Oak Ridge Way.

12:26 a.m.: A caller reported their home was egged on Hemingway Street.

1 a.m.: A caller reported a female patient is trying to run away on Lake Street. The woman was taken to UMass.

2:38 a.m.: A suspicious man was reported on Bailey Road.
