Police Log: Many Youths Cause Disturbances

The following information was supplied by the Shrewsbury Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Thursday, June 21:

7:47 a.m.: A medical call was reported on Boston Turnpike for a man with high blood pressure. He was taken to UMass.

8:03 a.m.: A caller reported vandalism on Westview Avenue. Extra patrols were requested.

10:10 a.m.: A caller reported lost or stolen property from North Quinsigamond Avenue. A report was taken.

1:10 p.m.: A medical call was reported on Boston Turnpike for a woman with difficulty breathing. She was taken to UMass.

1:51 p.m.: A caller reported a suspicious man on Main Street.

3:03 p.m.: Orlando Gonzalez, 26, of 44 Park St., was arrested and charged on a warrant for conspiracy, larceny from a building and larceny under $250.

4:07 p.m.: A medical call was reported on Julio Drive for a woman with a high fever and the shakes. She was taken to UMass.

4:15 p.m.: Police returned property on Cardinal Circle.

4:57 p.m.: A caller reported a dispute with a neighbor on Hartford Turnpike. Police spoke to all involved.

6:23 p.m.: A doe was struck by a car at South Quinsigamond Avenue and Fairfax Street.

6:56 p.m.: A caller reported a group of kids jumping off the Route 9 bridge on Lake Quinsigamond. Police waited for the parents of the kids to pick them up.  A report was taken.

7:16 p.m.: A caller reported youths walking around the neighborhood asking neighbors if they can fill up their water bottles on Stoney Hill Road. Police were unable to locate the kids.

7:22 p.m.: A caller requested help with a poisonous snake on Brookway Drive. Police responded.

7:49 p.m.: A man requested police remove his ex-girlfriend on Shrewsbury Green Drive.

7:54 p.m.: A caller reported a suspicious package under a wood pile on Minuteman Way. Police responded and disposed of the box.

7:56 p.m.: A medical call was reported on Olde Colony Drive for a woman who passed out and is unconscious. She was taken to UMass.

8:27 p.m.: An ATM card was found on Main Street and was turned into police.

9:53 p.m.: Police responded to North Quinsigamond Avenue for youths and police moved them along.

Friday, June 22:

12:33 a.m.: A suspicious car was reported on Gale Avenue.

12:57 a.m.: A suspicious car was reported on Hartford Turnpike.

1:03 a.m.: A suspicious car was reported on Edgemere Boulevard.

2:29 a.m.: A group of youths were reported in a parking lot on Shrewsbury Green Drive for being loud. Police advised they'd be heading home for the night.

3:06 a.m.: A caller reported a deer in the road at Boston Turnpike and Plainfield Avenue.
