Police Log: Shrewsbury Man Arrested on Attempted Murder Charge

Friday, March 16:
8:27 a.m.: A person in the lobby reported a larceny of a plane ticket on Commons Drive. Police responded and spoke to the reporting person.
12:20 p.m.: A caller reported a shoplifting in progress on Boston Turnpike. A female juvenile was taken into custody and charged with shoplifting by concealing merchandise.

12:41 p.m.: A person in the lobby reported harassing and annoying phone calls. Police spoke to the people involved.
12:57 p.m.: A medical call was reported on Kenda Road for a man coughing up blood. He was taken to UMass.

4:10 p.m.: A caller reported 30 youths in the road on Waterville Lane. Police responded and spoke to the youths.
4:58 p.m.: A caller reported her cell phone was reported on Pineland Avenue. A report was taken.
5:24 p.m.: A person in the lobby found a purse at a business on Maple Avenue. The owner responded and retrieved the purse.
5:43 p.m.: A person in the lobby turned in a found passport on Gulf Street. Police attempted to return it to the owner.
6:01 p.m.: A caller reported a blue pickup truck traveling at a high rate of speed on I-290 west near Route 140 and Barnard Street.
7:20 p.m.: A medical call was reported on Boston Turnpike for a woman with chest pain. She was taken to UMass.
8:05 p.m.: A medical call was reported on Mercury Drive for a man who was dizzy and vomiting. He was taken to UMass.
8:35 p.m.: A drug violation was reported on Boston Turnpike. A report was taken.
8:37 p.m.: A medical call was reported on Keyes House Road for a woman who had passed out in a sauna. She was taken to the hospital.
8:56 p.m.: A caller reported a car that crossed the yellow line several times on Hartford Turnpike. Police were unable to locate the car.
9:09 p.m.: A caller reported a suspicious car on Lake Street.
9:51 p.m.: A caller reported a maroon Infinity driving slowly on Route 9 and crossing the center line.
10:29 p.m.: The Westborough police reported an erratic driver on Boston Turnpike.
Saturday, March 17:
12:51 a.m.: A suspicious car was reported on Boston Turnpike.
12:57 a.m.: A suspicious man was reported on Floral Street.
2:04 a.m.: Two suspicious people were reported on Main Street.
2:40 a.m.: Anthony J. Perry, 53, of 69 Grove St., Shrewsbury, was arrested and charged with possession of a Class A substance and a warrant charging him with violating an abuse prevention order and violating an abuse prevention act.
3 a.m.: Alicia F. Lamarre, 23, of 279 Grafton St., Apt. 3, Worcester, was arrested and charged with possession of a Class A substance and a warrant for sexual conduct for a fee.
3:22 a.m.: A suspicious man was reported walking on Maple Avenue.
7:38 a.m.: A caller reported a domestic dispute on Boston Turnpike. A report was taken.
8:34 a.m.: A medical call was reported on Commons Drive for a 7-year-old girl who had a seizure. She was taken to UMass.
11:05 a.m.: A suspicious group of youths were reported filming on Spring Terrace. They appeared to have some sort of weapon. Police responded and advised the students were part of the Oak Middle School and doing a project.
11:08 a.m.: A caller reported a youth skateboarding in the road on North Quinsigamond Avenue.
12:13 p.m.: A caller reported a larceny on Tanager Drive. A report was taken.
12:18 p.m.: A suspicious woman was reported on Ashwood Circle.
1:06 p.m.: Two suspicious men were painting a car on Hartford Turnpike. Police responded and advised they were painting a bumper.
1:46 p.m.: A medical call was reported on Boylston Circle for a man with a low heart rate. He was taken to St. Vincent's.
2:24 p.m.: A caller reported a dead tan, tabby cat was found on the side of the road on Main Street. A message was left for the animal control officer.
2:59 p.m.: A person in the lobby turned in a found debit card.
5:46 p.m.: A caller reported suspicious people working on a car on Boston Turnpike.
6:49 p.m.: Melvin Saul Aguirre, 45, of 59 Spring St., Shrewsbury, was arrested and charged with operating a motor vehicle with a suspended or revoked license, operating a motor vehicle with a registration suspended or revoked and an uninsured motor vehicle.
7:07 p.m.: A medical call was reported on North Quinsigamond Avenue for a man with abdominal pain. He was taken to UMass.
9:01 p.m.: An anonymous caller reported people arguing on North Street. Police responded and advised it was a house party with the parents home. Guests will be picked up by their parents.
9:11 p.m.: A caller reported harassing phone calls.
9:27 p.m.: A caller reported harassing phone calls.
9:51 p.m.: A suspicious car was reported on I-290.
9:54 p.m.: A caller reported a loud party on Main Street. Police responded and took two men in protective custody.
10:01 p.m.: A caller reported three or four youths threw a bottle in their yard on High Street.
10:16 p.m.: A caller reported a disturbance on Avalon Way.
10:47 p.m.: Anthony Robert Jones, 28, of 14539 Lamom, Apt. 25, Midlothian, IL, was arrested and charged with four counts of forgery of a document and four counts of uttering a false prescription.
Sunday, March 18:
12:04 a.m.: A suspicious car was reported on Spring Street.
12:19 a.m.: A caller reported loud music coming from Elm Street.
12:23 a.m.: Two suspicious cars was reported on Grafton Street.1 a.m.: A caller reported a loud party on Winslow Street.
1:38 a.m.: A medical call was reported on Boston Turnpike for a woman having an asthma attack in a car. She was taken to UMass.
2:13 a.m.: A caller reported his CO detector beeping on Trowbridge Lane. The fire department responded.
3:46 a.m.: A person in the lobby turned in a woman's purse found in a limo on Heywood Street.
3:57 a.m.: A suspicious car was reported on Maple Avenue.
5:58 a.m.: A suspicious car was reported on Boston Turnpike.
6:22 a.m.: A medical call was reported on Deerfield Road for a woman with severe pain in her side. She was taken to UMass.
8:10 a.m.: A person in the lobby reported vandalism to their mailbox on Saxon Lane. The person advised multiple mailboxes in the area were damaged.
9:10 a.m.: A person in the lobby turned in a license and a bank card found at a business on Boston Turnpike.
12:32 p.m.: A caller reported all-terrain vehicles on Lake Street. Police responded and couldn't locate the people.
2 p.m.: A person in the lobby turned in a found cell phone.
2:47 p.m.: A person in the lobby reported a domestic dispute on South Quinsigamond Avenue. A report was taken.
4:21 p.m.: An employee from a business on Hartford Turnpike requested a patron be removed. The man left before police arrived.
4:39 p.m.: An erratic driver was reported on Main Street.
5:51 p.m.: The police were out with two men on all-terrain vehicles on Clinton Street. The following people were arrested:
Rolando Abdel Fernandez, 22, of 15 Merrifield St., Apt. 3, Worcester, was arrested on two straight warrants for nine charges.
Joan Reyes, 40, of 5 Ashton St., Apt. 1, Worcester, was arrested and charged with receiving a stolen motor vehicle.
Luis F. Diaz, 25, of 200 East Mountain Village, Apt. 266, Worcester, was arrested and charged with receiving a stolen motor vehicle.
6:57 p.m.: An employee from the Worcester State Hospital reported someone walked away during a pass at a business on Main Street. Police responded with the K-9 unit and the employee were able to locate the man.
7:50 p.m.: Gurdev Singh, 51, of 7 Baldwin Cir., Shrewsbury, was arrested and charged with assault and battery and violating an abuse prevention order.
8:08 p.m.: A medical call was reported on Main Street for a woman with injuries from a fall. She was taken to UMass.
8:13 p.m.: An assault was reported on Yorkshire Terrace. Hamilton Oliviera, 47, of 37 Yorkshire Terrace, Apt. 5, Shrewsbury, was arrested and charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, armed assault to murder and two counts of assault and battery.
Monday, March 19:
12:40 a.m.: A suspicious man was reported walking on North Quinsigamond Avenue near I-290.
12:42 a.m.: A suspicious car was reported on Main Street near I-290.
2:01 a.m.: Two suspicious cars were reported on Raymond Avenue.
2:15 a.m.: A suspicious car was reported at Tatum Road and Sias Avenue. Two occupants were cited for a drug violation. A report was taken.
2:47 a.m.: A medical call was reported on Old Laxfield Road for a woman with injuries from a fall with a possible broken arm. She was taken to UMass.
