Police Log: Suspicious U-Haul Truck Reported

Friday, Jan. 20:

9:51 a.m.: A medical call was reported on Stratton Drive for a woman with an altered mental status. She was taken to UMass.

1:02 p.m.: A car reported stolen by a Shrewsbury resident was recovered by the Lynn Police Department. The owner was notified and a report was taken.

3:53 p.m.: A caller reported a stolen credit card. A report was taken.

4:15 p.m.: A suspicious car was reported on Ireta Road.

4:23 p.m.: A person in the lobby reported being harassed by a former girlfriend. A report was taken.

4:27 p.m.: A suspicious U-Haul truck was reported at Boston Turnpike and South Street with the trailer door open and a person inside. were unable to locate the truck.

4:41 p.m.: A caller reported an erratic driver traveling west on Boston Turnpike.

9:17 p.m.: A suspicious car was reported on Grafton Street. Police advised it was an employee closing a business.

Saturday, Jan. 21:

2:37 a.m.: A caller reported an erratic driver who threw a bottle at her car and damaged it on Boston Turnpike. Police responded and said no visible damage was done to the car and they couldn't locate the car.

3:44 a.m.: A caller reported loud music from an apartment on Shrewsbury Green Drive. Police responded and advised the tenants were watching a movie and would turn it down.

8:34 a.m.: A two-car accident was reported on Boston Turnpike. One person was taken to UMass. A report was taken.

9:12 a.m.: A medical call was reported on Judick Street for a woman who had fallen in the road. She was taken to UMass.

9:25 a.m.: A medical call was reported on Rolfe Avenue for a man with severe left arm pain. He was taken to St. Vincent's.

11:40 a.m.: A caller reported a larceny from Thomas Farm Circle. A report was taken.

12:58 p.m.: A caller reported a shoplifting in progress on Boston Turnpike.Police officers responded and advised that four people were attempting to return an item, which the employee would not let them, so they attempted to steal items from the business. All four people were given a no trespass order and the item they attempted to return was left in the trash.

5:19 p.m.: An erratic driver was reported at Route 9 and Walnut Street.

5:35 p.m.: A caller reported a plow truck driving with a broken headlight on South Street. The was notified.

8:23 p.m.: A caller reported a large fight at a business on Boston Turnpike. Police responded, but the aggressors left before the police arrived.

8:48 p.m.: The requested an evaluation of a child on Violette Circle who had been exposed to carbon monoxide.

10:02 p.m.: A caller reported a man arguing with several people on Boston Turnpike. Police took the man into protective custody.

11:48 p.m.: A caller reported someone rang her doorbell and left on Colton Lane. Police responded and found nothing.

Sunday, Jan. 22:

12 a.m.: A caller reported someone rang his doorbell on Laurel Avenue and is sitting in a light-colored car with the flashers on in front of his home. Police responded and the car is gone.

12:26 a.m.: A suspicious car was reported on Prospect Street.

1:07 a.m.: A suspicious man was reported at Route 9 and Oak Street for a man walking along the road.

7:42 a.m.: A caller reported a dispute with tenants on Janet Circle.

7:48 a.m.: A medical call was reported on Maury Lane for a woman with general weakness. She was taken to UMass.

10:59 a.m.: A person in the lobby turned in ammunition on Daniel Road.

11:36 a.m.: A medical call was reported on Walnut Street for a man with general weakness. He was taken to UMass.

12:21 p.m.: A white dog was reportedly running in the road on Holden Street.

3:30 p.m.: A caller reported her pocket book stolen from her car at the Northborough Walmart. She was advised to call Northborough Police.

4:32 p.m.: A suspicious man was reported hanging around Maple Avenue.

5:44 p.m.: A medical call was reported on Maury Lane for a woman with injuries from a fall. She was taken to St. Vincent's.

5:03 p.m.: A domestic dispute was reported on Cottage Avenue.

7:15 p.m.: A domestic dispute was reported on Avalon Way.

8:40 p.m.: Several callers reported eggs being thrown at their windows on Worthington Avenue. Police responded and checked the neighborhood. No major damage was reported.

9:28 p.m.: The smell of something burning was reported on Shrewsbury Green Drive. Police and fire responded and advised that somebody burned something in another apartment.

9:38 p.m.: A caller in the lobby reported a missing pug dog from Maple Avenue. The dog is fawn colored and 1 and 1/2 years old.

Monday, Jan. 23:

1:57 a.m.: A suspicious car was reported on Boston Turnpike.

3:30 a.m.: A caller reported hearing noises coming from a second floor apartment on Plainfield Avenue. Police responded and it was unfounded.
