Police Log: Three Arrested for Shoplifting

Tuesday, March 6:

7:58 a.m.: The  responded to Grafton Circle for a report of a dead dog in the road. The officer advised the dog was gone when she arrived.

8:44 a.m.: An employee from a business on Hartford Turnpike reported an issue with a website.  responded and took a report.

9:02 a.m.: A medical call was reported on Dalphen Road for a woman with high blood pressure and general weakness. She was taken to UMass.

11:17 a.m.: The animal control officer was out on Hartford Turnpike advising residents of animal services.

12:26 p.m.: A medical call was reported on Cortland Grove Drive for a woman who was vomiting. She was taken to St. Vincent's.

1:16 p.m.: A caller reported needing assistance to remove a patron at a business on Boston Turnpike. Police responded requested a cab to take the patron to the PIP Shelter in Worcester.

1:50 p.m.: A medical call was reported on Hickory Drive for a woman with shortness of breath. She was taken to UMass.

4:10 p.m.: A person in the lobby reported harassing phone calls. Police gave the person advice.

4:15 p.m.: The animal control officer responded to Cardinal Circle to find a loose dog.

4:40 p.m.: A medical call was reported on Canna Drive for a man with high blood pressure. He was taken to UMass.

6:06 p.m.: A caller reported a dealer license plate is missing or stolen.

9:04 p.m.: Donna Butler, 50, of 71 Sylvan St., Worcester, was arrested and charged with shoplifting by concealing merchandise, receiving stolen property less than $250, resisting arrest and conspiracy. Butler was also charged on three warrants.

Melissa A. Butler, 38, of 338 Berkley St., Apt. 2, Taunton, was arrested and charged with shoplifting by concealing merchandise, receiving stolen property under $250 and conspiracy.

9:27 p.m.: A caller said she way a homing pigeon in his yard. He described it as gray and white with a band around his leg. A log entry was made and the animal control officer was advised.

Wednesday, March 7:

12:02 a.m.: A suspicious car was reported at routes 9 and 140.

12:37 a.m.: A suspicious man was reported on Bow Street.

2:11 a.m.: A suspicious man was reported on Boston Turnpike.

2:55 a.m.: Scott E. Smith, 43, of 15 Oread St., Worcester, was arrested and charged on a warrant for shoplifting.
