Police Log: Two Arrested After Stolen Car Reported

The following information was supplied by the Shrewsbury Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Sunday, Feb. 19:

1:10 a.m.: located a vehicle on Route 20 involved in an accident in Millbury that left the scene of the minor accident. Police spoke to those involved.

5:53 a.m.: A medical call was reported on Julio Drive for a man with a fever and shakiness. He was taken to UMass.

7:42 a.m.: A medical call was reported on North Quinsigamond Avenue for a woman with a leg injury. She was taken to St. Vincent's.

8:53 a.m.: A break-in was reported on Sewell Street. A report was taken.

10:55 a.m.: A two-car accident was reported at Route 9 and South Street. Two people were taken to UMass. A report was taken.

11:18 a.m.: A man and woman were selling items on Crescent Street without a permit. The police sent them on their way.

1:31 p.m.: A medical call was reported on Melvin Avenue for a person with chest pain and difficulty breathing. The person was taken to the hospital.

1:40 p.m.: A caller reported an electrical short and smelled smoke at their home on Cottage Avenue. The responded.

2:05 p.m.: A caller reported a suspicious man dressed in tan soliciting to wash car windows for money on Boston Turnpike. Police responded, but were unable to locate the man.

2:54 p.m.: An erratic driver was reported at Route 9 and North Quinsigamond Avenue. Police responded, but couldn't locate the car.

3:10 p.m.: A suspicious car was reported circling the neighborhood on Knollwood Drive. Police responded and reported the passenger was teaching the driver how to drive.

3:52 p.m.: A caller reported a dispute on Ridge Road. Police responded and spoke to all the people involved.

3:58 p.m.: A medical call was reported on Church Road for a man complaining of high blood pressure. He was taken to UMass.

5:10 p.m.: A caller reported a man just left her home on Shrewsbury Green Drive and had attempted to retrieve his belongings. When he got angry, he damaged a door. The police responded and found no damage or vandalism.

6:41 p.m.: A caller reported an ongoing issue with a barking dog on Spruce Street. Police responded and spoke to the dog owner and reported the dog is inside and has been for awhile.

7:55 p.m.: A medical call was reported on Wesleyan Street for a man with difficulty breathing. He was taken to UMass.

8:39 p.m.: Osvaldo Nevarez-Navarro, 34, of 7 Boardman St., Apt. 3, Worcester was arrested for receiving a stolen motor vehicle, possession of a Class E substance and use of a motor vehicle without authority.

Carlos A. Trimino, 47, of 687 Lincoln Rd., Oakham, was arrested and charged with receiving a stolen motor vehicle, possession of a Class E substance and using a motor vehicle without authority.

8:42 p.m.: Kevin V. Forts, 22, of 2 Ruthen Cir., Shrewsbury, was arrested and charged on a warrant.

8:50 p.m.: A suspicious car was reported on Harrington Avenue.

11:47 p.m.: A medical call was reported on Cherry Street for a man with a possible heart attack. He was taken to UMass.
