Police Log: Two Bats Wreak Havoc on Brook Street

Monday, June 25:
9:06 a.m.: A medical call was reported on Boston Turnpike for a chemical spill inside a building on Boston Turnpike. .
9:36 a.m.: A caller reported lightning struck a building on Boston Turnpike with flames showing. .

9:57 a.m.: A break-in on Main Circle was reported. A report was taken.
11:53 a.m.: A caller reported a pellet was shot through a window screen at Fieldstone Drive. More police checks were requested.

12:08 p.m.: A caller reported a bird in their home on Greenwood Avenue. The animal control officer responded.
12:29 p.m.: Two air conditioning units were stolen from a storage area on Boston Turnpike. A report was taken.
3:21 p.m.: The animal control officer responded to Madison Place for an injured duck. The officer took the duck to Tufts.
10:20 p.m.: A caller reported there were youths playing basketball and keeping her from sleeping on Straw Hollow Lane.
Tuesday, June 26:
12:13 a.m.: A caller reported she had two bats trapped in her bathroom on Brook Street. The animal control officer was notified in the morning.
7:34 a.m.: A caller reported a broken bottle in their driveway on Westmont Road.
9:51 a.m.: The animal control officer responded to Brook Street to help with two bats trapped in a bathroom.
12:43 p.m.: An employee from a business reported a past larceny from the business. A report was taken.
4:19 p.m.: A caller reported she had two bats in boxes. The animal control officer responded, but the bats escaped before she arrived.
7:03 p.m.: A caller from Saybrook Road reported Internet threats.
9:56 p.m.: Judiean Polanco, 26, of 501 Potters Ave., Apt. 1, Providence, RI, was arrested and charged with unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, an uninsured motor vehicle and an unregistered vehicle. He was also charged on a warrant.
Alexander Delacruz, 28, of 18 Ashmont Ave., Apt. 3, Worcester, was arrested and charged on a warrant.
Wednesday, June 27:
6:35 a.m.: A caller reported a construction crew working since 6 a.m. on Crescent Street. Police advised the crew to stop until 7 a.m.
9:49 a.m.: A caller reported a fox was in the road on Blossom Tree Drive and appears to have something in its mouth. The animal control officer responded and the fox was exterminated.
1:03 p.m.: The animal control officer was reported on Paton Road for a loose dog.
7:27 p.m.: A caller reported a group of youths causing a disturbance at a pond on South Quinsigamond Avenue. Police sent them on their way.
7:30 p.m.: A caller reported a homeowner burning in their backyard. The fire department responded and extinguished the fire.
8 p.m.: A caller reported an argument between him and his younger sister on Lakeside Drive. A report was taken.
8:33 p.m.: A caller reported an ongoing neighbor dispute on Wachusett Avenue.
9:48 p.m.: An intruder was reported on Grafton Street, but police responded and found nothing.
10:30 p.m.: A caller reported someone ringing his doorbell on Benjamin Lane.
10:56 p.m.: A caller reported a group of teenagers causing a disturbance in the new neighborhood off of Country Way. Police sent them on their way.
11:15 p.m.: A caller reported the smell of smoke and burning on Hartford Turnpike. The fire department responded.
Thursday, June 28:
6:12 a.m.: The highway department was notified for a beaver that was struck on Old Brook Road.
