Police Search for Robbery Suspect
Police are searching for a man wearing a plain, dark-colored baseball hap and a white shirt.

Shrewsbury police are searching for a bank robbery suspect after was robbed earlier today.
On Tuesday, May 29, Sovereign Bank located on 47 Maple Ave. was robbed, according to police.
At 11:44 a.m., Shrewsbury police responded to the bank where it was reported that a lone robber had entered the bank and passed a note demanding cash. No weapon was shown. An undetermined amount of cash was taken. The robber then fled on foot from the bank. The area was searched by the Shrewsbury Police for approximately one hour, but the suspect eluded police.

Police described the suspect as a white male, between 5-foot, 9-inches to 5-foot, 11 inches tall, brown eyes, slender build, thin face and nose. The man was wearing a plain, dark-colored baseball hat, a short-sleeved, white t-shirt and long, dark-colored pants.
