Rain Rain Everywhere, But None for Shrewsbury

With the recent rainstorms coming through the area, most of them have missed Shrewsbury.

You almost can't go one day without hearing about a thunderstorm warning for Worcester County or the surrounding areas, but many of the storms have missed Shrewsbury.

The National Weather Service in Taunton said that as of July 24, Worcester (which is the closest community with rainfall totals) is 2 inches behind average totals from recent years.

"As of July 24, Worcester, the closest community to Shrewsbury, only had .42 inches of rain reported," said Charlie Foley, meteorologist at the National Weather Service. "They usually have 3.23 inches rain in July, so this could be a problem for the community."
