Selectmen Warn Neighbors of Dog Accused in Attack
Pending the outcome of litigation, a dog who allegedly attacked another dog is residing at the home where the incident occurred.

Board of Selectmen Chair Moira Miller wanted to make residents and neighbors aware that "Dugg," a dog from Knowlton Avenue is currently at that home pending the outcome of litigation to euthanize the dog.
"Dugg" allegedly attacked another dog after he got out the pen at a residence at 19 Knowlton Ave. Â When the selectmen voted to euthanize the dog last year, the owners appealed the decision to the clerk magistrate in Westborough.
"The Board had been under the impression that the dog was being kept in Milton, MA pending the completion of various appeals," Miller said in a release yesterday. "This situation gives the Board great alarm as the Board made the very difficult decision to have 'Dugg' euthanized because of concern that other animals and persons would be at great risk should Dugg attack again."

Miller said a new hearing is pending on the appeal before a judge.
"While the owners of 'Dugg' have the right to keep the dog at 19 Knowlton Ave. pending appeal, I believe it is entirely appropriate to advise abutters and other interested parties of the current situation in order for you to take any prudent precautions in the event that 'Dugg' once again gets loose into the neighborhood."
