Shrewsbury Appoints Sharyn Thomas As Town Clerk

SHREWSBURY, MA — The Shrewsbury Board of Selectmen appointed Assistant Town Clerk Sharyn Thomas to the position of town clerk on Tuesday.

Thomas is replacing Sandra Wright who is retiring after 34 years. Her three-year term starts on March 1.

Thomas was unanimously appointed by the Board of Selectmen. Selectmen John Lebeaux highlighted the unprecedented conditions clerks have been working under this year, between the pandemic and the largely mail-in election.

"I am pleased and confident that she will be a great successor to a long line of great town clerks," Lebeaux said.
