Shrewsbury Country Shoppe Celebrates Grand Opening

SHREWSBURY, MA—Debbie Cottam has wanted to open up her own business her entire life. Her dream has come true with the opening of Shrewsbury Country Shoppe, which opened in Shrewsbury Center earlier this month.

The storecarries unique high quality gifts for all occasions, home decor, small home furnishings, custom, area specific items, made in USA as much as possible, specialty chocolate truffle gift sets, teas, gourmet coffee, drinking chocolate and much more.

"I worked hard to make a truly unique shop, researching to find custom, different, area specific items that can only be found here at the store while having the country store favorites," Cottam told Patch. "Customers can be sure you will always find something new each time you visit."

Cottam, who has lived in Shrewsbury for 23 years, also has two boys who have lived their whole lives in the town.

A grand opening celebration takes place Aug. 31 and Sept. 1 that includes a gelato stand, raffles and giveaways. The store is open daily except for Mondays, and later on Thursdays and Fridays. Cottam did not specify hours.

"This is exceeding my expectations!" she said. "Being right in the center of town makes it that much more incredible."
