Shrewsbury Girl Scouts Celebrate World Thinking Day

It only takes a few steps to go green and learn about helping with the environment.

In honor of World Thinking Day, Shrewsbury Girl Scouts participated in activities and projects with global themes to honor their sister Girl Guides and Girl Scouts in other countries.

This year’s theme was “Save your Planet” and 100 Shrewsbury Girl Scouts, along with 20 Leaders gathered at the to show displays on ways to save our planet.

Scouts had displays on how to save the earth, recycle efforts, planting seeds, go green by using energy efficient light bulbs, recycle crayons, save the trees and Asian Longhorned Beetle awareness. Girls traveled about to each table which was named for one of the planets to learn about all the ways they can GO GREEN and save the planet.
