Shrewsbury Man Faces Resisting Arrest Charge
The following cases were heard in Westborough District Court last week.

Tuesday, Jan. 17:
Brendan T. Horgan, 35, of 1047 South St., Fitchburg, was arrested Jan. 16 by State Police in Shrewsbury and charged with OUI liquor, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, marked lanes violation and leaving the scene of a property damage accident. Judge Vito Virzi continued the case to Feb. 8.
Robert Phalen, 51, of 76 Brook Lane, Berlin, was arrested Feb. 7 by Shrewsbury Police and charged with felony breaking and entering in the nighttime and larceny from a building. Judge Vito Virzi dismissed both charges.

Wednesday, Jan. 18:
Carlos Marcano, 23, 261 Millbury St., No. 2, Worcester, was summonsed to Westborough District Court after Shrewsbury police filled out a complaint on April 22, charging him with larceny from a person, forgery of a document and three counts of larceny under $250. Judge Vito Virzi continued the case to Feb. 17.

Zoraida Gomez, 33, of 58 West Sixth St., Lowell, was summonsed into court after Shrewsbury police filled out a criminal complaint on Dec. 12, 2011 and charged Gomez with operating a motor vehicle with a suspended registration, operating an uninsured vehicle and operating an unregistered vehicle. The suspended registration charged was dismissed, the uninsured motor vehicle charged was also dismissed if Gomez paid $200 in court costs and he was found not responsible on the remaining charge.
Ryan Fogarty, 23, of 1345 Old Worcester Rd., Framingham, was arrested by Shrewsbury police on July 3, 2011, and was charged with OUI and willfully obstructing an emergency vehicle. Fogarty admitted to sufficient facts and the case was continued without a finding. He was ordered to pay $600 in fees and lost his license for 45 days.
Anna E. Stapler, 23, of 8 Joyce Cir., Shrewsbury, was summonsed into court after Shrewsbury police filled out a criminal complaint and charged Stapler with a number plate violation, operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license and operating an uninsured motor vehicle. Judge David Locke dismissed the charges.
Matthew D. Manzello, 28, of 47 Edgewater Ave., Apt. 2, Shrewsbury, was arrested by Shrewbsury police on Nov. 22 and charged with uttering a false prescription and receiving stolen property under $250. Judge Lock continued the case until March 9.
Luis Rivera, 25, of 146 Orchard Hill Dr., Oxford, was arrested by Shrewsbury police on Oct. 23 and charged with receiving stolen property and operating a motor vehicle with a license revoked. The case was continued until Feb. 23.
Joseph Belculfine, 30, of 67 Hillside Dr., Shrewsbury, was arrested by Shrewsbury police on March 10 and was charged with assault and battery on a police officer and resisting arrests. The case was continued until Feb. 14.
Russell J. Gallant, 46, of 2 Kennedy Ln., Apt. 45, of Milford was arrested by Shrewsbury police on Dec. 9 and charged with OUI. The case was continued until March 21.
Robert Stow, 32, of 121 Depot St., Bellingham, was arrested by Shrewsbury police on Dec. 10 and charged with OUI. The case was continued until Feb. 6.
Nocholas V. McMahon, 18, of 24 Rawson Hill Dr., Shrewsbury, was summonsed into court after Shrewsbury police filled out a criminal complaint and charged him with breaking and entering (misdemeanor). The case was continued until Feb. 3.
