From Assumption Greyhounds: The Assumption College Department of Athletics has announced that Nick Pasquale, of Shrewsbury, has earned a coveted spot on the 2016-17 Assumption College Men's Basketball team. Pasquale, Class of 2019, is competing during the Greyhounds' winter season.
"Our team has worked hard this year," said Michael Harding, who is in his second season as head coach of the Assumption men's basketball team. "As our season progresses we hope this consistent effort can help us as we compete for a spot in the Northeast-10 playoffs."
The 2016-17 team is led by seniors Marcus Murray, Declan Soukup and Karl Zeigler. The Greyhounds, are steadily improving as the season progresses as they build off a two-game win streak in min-January. Because the team is losing just three seniors this year, the hope is to build on this young core of players for seasons to come.
