Shrewsbury Native to Join Assumption College Ice Hockey Team

From Assumption College: The Assumption College Department of Athletics has announced that David Belbin, of Shrewsbury, has earned a coveted spot on the Assumption College Men's Ice Hockey team. Belbin, Class of 2019, is competing during the Greyhounds' 2016-17 season.

The team is led by senior captains Ryan Gomez, Kevin Murphy and assistant captain Nick Fenuccio. "Our team has had an eventful season so far," said Lance Brady, who is in his ninth season coaching the Assumption College men's hockey team. According to Coach Brady, the team, despite battling many injuries, the team is still poised to make the playoffs and will rely heavily on starting goaltender Nick Commesso as they move forward.
