Shrewsbury PD Advocate Breast Cancer Awareness With Pink Patches
The Pink Patch Project runs through October.
SHREWSBURY, MA — Shrewsbury police are joining dozens of departments across the Commonwealth to advocate for Breast Cancer Awareness this month.
The Shrewsbury Police Department is participating in the Pink Patch Project campaign which showcases police officers that switch their traditional patch for a custom pink patch. The purpose of the campaign is to raise awareness to cancer detection and prevention.
The proceeds from the Shrewsbury Police campaign benefit the local organization 15-40 Connection and their 3 Steps to Detect program.

Throughout the month you can see members of the department wearing their pink patch proudly around town. To support the cause, the pink patches will be on sale during various events, including food truck nights on Thursdays from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
There are long sleeve shirts to purchase and an online store with select SPD pink patch apparel. The deadline to order online is October 26th.
